Why Finetic exists
Self-hosted media software should combine a calm household experience with enough operational evidence to diagnose playback, storage, metadata and recovery. Finetic is being built around that connection instead of treating the viewer and administrator as unrelated products.
How public claims are produced
Product screenshots come from working demonstration or physical-device environments and are reviewed for credentials and private infrastructure. Compatibility and performance claims include the tested version, environment, date and limitation. Planned and supervised-testing features are labelled separately from public releases.
How automation is used
Automation assists implementation, testing, documentation maintenance and evidence collection. Product claims remain tied to source-controlled behaviour, repeatable checks or explicitly labelled documentation. Automated output is not treated as independent verification.
Commercial status
The server is available as a compiled public pre-release evaluation through Docker Compose. The web client ships with the server. Fire TV and Android remain in supervised device testing. Final paid pricing, support terms and native app-store availability have not been published.
