Clear rules and explicit boundaries.
These pages distinguish the software Finetic supplies, the media controlled by a server administrator and the centrally operated services controlled by Young Studio.
Licence grant
Subject to an active evaluation or entitlement and compliance with this agreement, Young Studio grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable licence to install and use Finetic for personal or internal household media-server purposes on the number of installations authorised by the entitlement.
The web client supplied with the server and an authorised native client may be used only to connect to a Finetic server that you are permitted to access. Additional installations require a separate entitlement or installation allowance.
Ownership and reserved rights
Finetic, its compiled code, interface, branding, documentation and original demonstration artwork are owned by or licensed to Young Studio. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. The licence does not transfer source code, signing material, trade marks or a right to redistribute Finetic.
Restrictions
Except where applicable law expressly prevents a restriction, you must not:
- Copy, sell, rent, sublicense, publish or redistribute Finetic or a release package
- Circumvent, modify, forge or interfere with entitlement, signature, installation-identity or update controls
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble Finetic except to the limited extent a non-excludable law permits
- Remove proprietary, copyright, licence or attribution notices
- Use Finetic to provide an unauthorised public streaming, restreaming, piracy or commercial hosting service
- Use release credentials, tokens or installation identities belonging to another customer
Media and external services
Finetic supplies no films, television programmes, channels or third-party streaming access. You are solely responsible for the legality of media and metadata made available to your server and for every guest share you create.
Optional metadata providers, operating systems, container platforms, app stores, codecs and network services are governed by their own terms. This licence does not grant rights in those products or in content returned by them.
Evaluation, expiry and termination
The public evaluation currently lasts 30 days when validly activated. When the signed entitlement and applicable grace expire, Finetic may block new playback and new sharing while keeping administration, renewal, backup, restore, export and diagnostics available. Existing playback may finish under the implemented continuity policy.
The licence ends if the entitlement ends or if you materially breach this agreement. On termination you must stop unauthorised use and remove unauthorised copies. Your media remains yours, and the documented recovery and export capabilities remain subject to the implemented entitlement policy and mandatory law.
Updates, pre-release risk and liability
Updates may change compatibility, schemas and supported clients. Follow the documented backup, verification and rollback process. Pre-release software may contain defects and should not be the only copy of any important data.
Nothing excludes liability or consumer remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise, the software is supplied only for its documented purpose and Young Studio is not responsible for unlawful media use, unsupported modifications, external services or customer-controlled infrastructure.
