Third-party notices

Finetic integrates with other technology without claiming ownership of it.

Finetic distributions include or interact with third-party software and services. Their licences, terms, availability and trade marks remain separate from the Finetic licence.

Clear rules and explicit boundaries.

These pages distinguish the software Finetic supplies, the media controlled by a server administrator and the centrally operated services controlled by Young Studio.

02

FFmpeg, codecs and hardware interfaces

Finetic uses FFmpeg and platform media APIs for probing, remuxing, audio conversion and video transcoding. FFmpeg licensing depends on the compiled configuration, and codec patent or royalty rules vary by jurisdiction and use.

A Finetic licence does not grant a separate patent, codec, broadcast or public-performance licence. Server operators remain responsible for requirements applying to their deployment and content.

03

Metadata and artwork providers

An administrator may configure external metadata providers. Queries and returned metadata or artwork are governed by the provider’s terms, attribution requirements and usage limits. Finetic does not sell or transfer ownership of provider material.

Public Finetic marketing captures use an original fictional demonstration catalogue rather than commercial film or television artwork.

04

Platforms, stores and trade marks

Amazon, Fire TV, Android, Docker, PostgreSQL, Linux, NVIDIA, Intel, AMD, Plex, Jellyfin and other names belong to their respective owners. References identify compatibility, deployment targets or factual comparison and do not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

Availability through an app store remains subject to that store’s review, distribution agreement and policies. Submission does not mean approval or certification.

05

Request a notice or correction

If a required attribution appears to be missing or a trade mark is used inaccurately, email hello@youngstudio.uk with the component, version, relevant page or package path and the correction requested. Do not send proprietary source or credentials.
