Clear rules and explicit boundaries.
These pages distinguish the software Finetic supplies, the media controlled by a server administrator and the centrally operated services controlled by Young Studio.
Acceptance and eligibility
By using a centrally operated Finetic service or requesting an evaluation, you agree to these terms and the documents linked from the Legal Centre. If you use a service for an organisation or household server, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it.
Do not use a Finetic service where doing so would be unlawful or where you cannot agree to the applicable terms. Children must not independently register an evaluation or commercial entitlement.
Accounts, information and security
Information supplied during evaluation, entitlement or support must be accurate and must not impersonate another person. You are responsible for protecting credentials and for promptly revoking a device or session that may be compromised.
Do not probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, bypass or misuse the public website, entitlement service, release service, support systems or another person’s installation. Responsible security research must follow the published security-reporting route.
Content and media responsibility
Young Studio supplies no entertainment catalogue and does not authorise use of third-party content. You must hold every permission required to store, process, stream, display or share media through your installation.
The Acceptable Use and Media Rights Policy forms part of these terms. Young Studio may restrict access to centrally controlled services when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security, fraud, infringement or a legal obligation.
Pre-release availability and changes
Finetic is currently a public pre-release evaluation. Features, clients, interfaces and provisional commercial policies may change. Planned capabilities are not contractual commitments, and maintenance windows or external service failures can temporarily affect centrally operated functions.
Warranties, responsibility and mandatory rights
The website, documentation and pre-release services are provided with reasonable care but may contain defects or incomplete information. Keep independent backups and verify changes before relying on them in a production household.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded. Subject to those rights, Young Studio is not responsible for third-party services, customer-controlled networks, unlawfully sourced media or loss caused by ignoring documented backup and security requirements.
Law, contact and document priority
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, while mandatory protections available to a consumer in their country continue to apply. Courts with mandatory jurisdiction retain that jurisdiction.
The Software Licence Agreement controls use of the compiled software; the Privacy Notice controls personal information; Subscription Terms control paid or evaluation entitlement; and the Acceptable Use Policy controls prohibited conduct.
